Photostory Friday

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

My little couch potato!
She was watching her Baby Einstein and wanted some fish. And of course, she said "hold it." And, she's on vacation, so I figured what the heck. And, she reminded me "don't spill it!"

I love my little girl...she sure looks like her daddy here!

And, I just loved this one too much not to share it!

Don't do it!!

I am in the process of designing a baby shower invite. I wanted to get directions or to find a free image for the card. Something like a silhouette of a belly or a baby carriage or something.

Note to you all...DO NOT GOOGLE "Free Pregnancy Image Photoshop"...just don't do it! Your eyes will burn out just looking at the search page alone.

That ends this edition of my free hints for Thursday. Continue on with your normal life!

Just checking in...

Pretty sure this is some randomness coming here...consider it written diarrhea, maybe?

It sure seems like this summer is flying by! I've got less than 2 weeks left until I have to return to work, and less than 3 before I see a new set of kiddos again! I just can't believe it.

I'm glad we will be getting a family vacation before school starts again, but I really can't get my head into it. I guess it's all the errands I've had to run, and packing I've had to do. I'll get there though, right?
********************************
Also, I think one of my camera lenses is sick. My 55-200mm lens is making a funny noise when it tries to auto focus. I took it in, and the store said they had to send it back to Nikon. They think it is something to do with the gears. I can't do without it right now, so it will have to wait until school starts again.
********************************
Oh, and I won and I've already received a Starbucks gift card from the lovely Holly at Anglohile Football Fanatic. In fact, I've already purchased and enjoyed a frozen lemonade. It tasted like it had a hint of mint in it...am I imagining things?

So, I hope you all are enjoying your summers and the last couple days/weeks before school starts up again!

Toast....no toast

This is my life these days...and this all happened while I was on the phone with hubby, who thought it was hilarious!

Izzy: All done, all done, all done.
Me: Okay, let's clean your hands off (while getting my toast ready).
Izzy: Mommy's toast.
Me: Yes, Izzy, this is mommy's toast. Do you want some?
Izzy: All done.
Me: Okay, let's get down (proceed to unbuckle her seat and try to get her down).
Izzy: Mommy's toast. Some. Yeah.
Me: So, you want some of Mommy's toast?
Izzy: All done.
Me: Then, let's really get down.
Izzy: Mommy's toast.
Me: Okay, here's some toast.
Izzy: No toast. All done. Up please.
Me: Okay, give me the toast, you are getting down.
Izzy: No down, mommy toast.
Me: No, you said you didn't want it, you're getting down.
Izzy: (crying) Mommy, toast. Mommy, toast.

And then, I just ignored her...because really, what else can I do?

Then, later during her swimming lessons, she cried almost the whole time, except when she was just standing in the water and playing with a watering can.

Me: Izzy, it's time to go to story time at the library.
Izzy: Story time, yeah.
Me: So, we need to get out of the pool and get dressed.
Izzy: No out. No dressed.
Me: Well, we have to so we can go to story time. Do you want to go to story time?
Izzy: Story time.
Me: Okay, well, let's get out (and we proceed to walk to the steps to get out).
Izzy: No out. POOL!
Me: Izzy, you aren't even enjoying the pool, let's go to story time.
Izzy: POOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!
Me: We're getting out and going to story time.
Izzy: POOOOOLLLLLL!
Me: We're getting dressed now and drying off.
Izzy: (Crying!)
The End!

And, we went to story time, and she loved it!

Do you think she has mommy's indecisiveness? Is toddlerhood always so much fun?

The Magnum

Remember this post where I talked about my hubby wanting to buy clippers so I could cut his hair? Well, it was time for another cut, and we decided that we needed a cape so the hair didn't stick to him. He volunteered to head to the beauty supply store to pick one up (huh, who is this man)? So, off he went.

He called me from the car on the way home telling me about all of the different choices and how silly the models looked on the front on the packages. What's really funny, is this is what he came home with:

I would consider this guy pretty goofy looking! And, it's called The Magnum! Hilarious. And, no, hubby's neck is not 26 inches!

Unfortunately, when I asked if I could take before and after pictures, he said it was fine...as long as the pictures didn't end up on the world wide web....so, no pictures for you. Just use your imagination. I actually did a fade, and I think it came out okay! He did sweat quite a bit during the "procedure" though!

********************************************
And, thank you all for your well wishes. I'm feeling much better. And, got hubby to take a picture for you all to compare. (I cheated and this time around is 2 days later than last time, but you get the idea)!

What???

Read my little baby ticker...up top, yeah, that's it. Right now, it says 97 days left! Holy expletive!! Where did this pregnancy go?

I can't believe how fast it's going for me! Or, how big my butt is getting.

I should take a picture today. I have one from my daughter at exactly 26 weeks and 1 day, but I feel like crap today. I've got a cold or some sort of infection...I didn't even get out of my jammies today....and I napped when my daughter napped. Maybe I'll see if hubby can strategically take a picture of my belly without revealing all of that. Or, maybe I'll just snap one tomorrow and be a day off!

And, who are you 21 people that have voted boy?!?!? Seriously, I should take a picture of the rear-end of me. Maybe then, you would think otherwise. My booty did get quite big with Ms. Iz! Any of you mamas to boys get a big booty? Because everything in me is leaning towards girl!! Although, hubby is convinced it's a boy!

Also, totally unrelated, but a friend and her mom are starting up a new business. They are making nursing wraps in the most adorable fabrics as well as some local University themed ones! I will have to get myself one. So, head on over to Mama Joy & Co. and send them some love and encouragement! I'm sure they'd love to hear from you! And, buy a nursing wrap for yourself or a friend.

I'm a winner, AGAIN!

Rhea, over at Texas Word Tangle had a contest for two books. And since I've been spending so much time reading this summer, I decided to enter. Rhea wrote:

"They are titled Letters from Your Friendly Cashier and written by fellow blogger, Carrie, from The Gremlin Wrangler. She has hilarious insights into the customers who come through her line and what working in a grocery store can be like. I laughed out loud throughout most of both books and wanted to share the love by passing them on."

I'm super excited that one of Rhea's adorable sons drew my name out of the hat...too bad it wasn't a pink cowboy hat, but the red, white and blue did the trick. I can't wait to read them.

Rhea is a Texan and a published writer with two adorable boys and an attorney husband! Go and check her out!

I also won (a while ago, I'm bad) a cute shirt from Uncommonly Cute via Andrea at The Laughs Will Go On...

I picked an adorable "Big Sister" shirt for Izzy...well, because she needed one! Go and check them out, and check out Andrea and all of her contests and tips. Andrea has a little boy and an adorable newborn little girl.
